Adult Arthritis ServiceThe adult arthritis service treats patients with a wide range of inflammatory and degenerative forms of arthritis. Patients can be seen in the Rheumatology Faculty Practice or in the General Arthritis Clinic. Staff physicians have special expertise in rheumatoid arthritis, sero-negative arthritis, Reiter's syndrome, psoriatic arthritis, ankylosing spondylitis, Lyme Disease, gout, and pseudo-gout and a wide range of soft tissue disorders including tendonitis and bursitis. We also provide diagnosis and treatment for a wide range of back and neck disorders and sports injuries and offer specialized inter-disciplinary programs for patients with chronic musculoskeletal pain. Our Ambulatory Clinical Research Center offers clinical trials for a wide variety of new drugs and biological products for the treatment of arthritis and osteoporosis. Our rheumatologists work closely with orthopedic surgeons who have special expertise in the treatment of arthritis and sports injuries and offer state of the art joint replacements and arthroscopic surgery. Our Spine Center provides state of the art surgical and non- surgical treatment for arthritis of the neck or lower back. On site radiologists offer a full range of x-ray, CT, and MRI imaging studies and offer image guided injections of the neck and back and intra-articular injections.
